Hardwood Floor Re-coating
We know having hardwood floors is a investment. We hope you will enjoy your hardwood floors for many years to come.
With life comes the usual wear on your floor's the finish. You will start to see the finish getting scuffed, and maybe wearing down in high traffic areas. To slow down the aging process make sure that you keep your floors swept and mopped. It is very important that you do not wet mop the floors, by flooding it with water or leave standing water on your floors. This can cause water damage like formation of cracks and darkening of the wood. Be careful with the type of hardwood floor cleaners you use. Many products contain polishes, and waxes, this can make it difficult to simply buff and recoat because the wax will "gunk up" the sand paper, it can also lead to problems with finish adhesion. We recommend purchasing a a swifter type mop or use Bona Kemi Floor cleaning kit.
The best way to keep your floors looking great is to routinely have the floors finish buffed and an application of a top coat of finish. This process is inexpensive compared to a deep sanding and removal of all the finish down to the wood and rebuilding the protective layers. We recommend to
The screening process can remove superficial scratches and wear.

Do you live near the beach, or in a rural area? Many of our commercial projects like stores museums , community centers choose to have their finish re-coated annually (depending on wear)
